Nagwa is known for her historically authentic costumes and for her painstaking research into ancient Pharonic choreography. Moreover, Nagwa is also versed in the traditional dances of Egypt, Morocco, Turkey and Tunisia.
In her theatrical performances, Nagwa along with her troupe El Raks Sai’d performed at restaurants, charitable events, museums, festivals, universities, conventions and private parties throughout the US. Nagwa and her troupe have also made appearances on Broadway in Manhattan NY. Notably in 1983, Nagwa was granted the special privilege of dancing for the Egyptian Ambassador of Egypt in Baltimore Maryland the “Luxor-Alexandria Sister City.”
Studying ballet, tap, and jazz since the age of five, dance has been Nagwa’s life passion and work. Highly accomplished Nagwa Sai’d is truly “Philadelphia’s first Lady of Dance.”

As the artistic director of El Raks Sai'd "Happy Dancers," Nagwa Sai'd produced and performed in theater shows and routinely featured international dancers from all over the country. Nagwa's theatrical productions are of the highest quality and have been held at many prestigious places such as the Annenberg Theatre in Philadelphia PA, the Arts Bank Theatre in Philadelphia PA, the War Memorial Theatre in Trenton NJ and the Arden Guild Hall in Wilmington Delaware.
